Phase One: Initial Meeting

What To Expect

Your ACP designer will meet with you to discuss your project, answer your questions about our design-build process, and gather information about your goals for the project. We will also take measurements and photos to ensure we address any challenges your property may present. Providing our team with a current property survey and a wish list (with photos) assists us with moving the process forward efficiently. At this time, we will assess if a *Design Retainer is appropriate to proceed with the next step: Conceptual Design & Budgeting.

Phase Two: Conceptual Design & Preliminary Budget

What To Expect

The purpose of this phase is to clearly define the overall scope, direction, and parameters of the project. After measuring the property, your designer will produce a design incorporating all the elements of your project into a conceptual plan. Depending on the nature of the work, you will be provided with a 2- or 3-dimensional plan. A 2-dimensional plan will provide a detailed layout of the proposed construction with material quantities. In addition to this, a 3-dimensional rendering will give you a realistic glimpse into your transformed space.

ACP will also provide a reasonable estimate of what it will take to build your project, general information about construction methods, and some early suggestions for materials, logistics and permitting, if applicable. At this stage we can also discuss the wide selection of financing programs that are available.

Phase Three: Planning & Specifications

What To Expect

Once the design and budget have been established, you and the ACP team will collaborate on the details of your project. During this phase, we will draw upon our decades of experience to help ensure that your vision is brought to life in the most cost-effective manner. Using best practices and detailed planning we can help with material selection, new ideas and a logistical framework for your plan.

With one of the largest Design centers in the state, ACP offers you the opportunity to personally inspect and choose the material that will work best with your project and home. You will then be provided with a detailed plan, timeline and a line-item proposal.

Phase Four: Agreement & Scheduling

What To Expect

Your ACP designer will meet with you to discuss your project, answer your questions about our design-build process, and gather information about your goals for the project. We will also take measurements and photos to ensure we address any challenges your property may present. Providing our team with a current property survey and a wish list (with photos) assists us with moving the process forward efficiently. At this time, we will assess if a *Design Retainer is appropriate to proceed with the next step: Conceptual Design & Budgeting.

Phase Five: Construction

What To Expect

Taking your plan and making it a reality is where ACP further separates themselves from other providers.
While many projects can be built in a few days, the complexity of incorporating multiple elements into one seamless project timeline may take several weeks. Our vast experience coupled with our focus on customer service, enables us to navigate through any challenges that may arise. Inclement weather, material availability and last-minute changes are all realities that may occur. ACP prides itself on being proactive to these challenges and will keep you informed to help minimize any impact to the project.

Above all, we will never abandon your project to work on another. Each customer project, large or small, receives our undivided attention during construction.

Phase Six: Final Walkthrough & Care

What To Expect

We take pride in ensuring that the craftsmanship promised has been delivered to provide you with both the aesthetic and functional expectation you desired. On the day of completion, we will take you on a guided tour of your new living space to answer any questions you may have and to provide guidance regarding ongoing care.

*- Design Retainers- If customer enters into an agreement with ACP to install the project, a percentage of the retainer may be credited towards construction.
